This vase looks like a chalice that weathered the crusades. There is so much to explore on the surface. The way it travels from looking like metal, to wood, to glass, to bronze is really special. During the firing someone else’s piece broke and flew onto this vase. It was large and fused onto this one. I chiseled it off and love the remnants it left. It couldn’t have happened to a better piece.
