Mustard Twist

$64.00

Small toasted brown vase with playful swipes of mustardy yellows and crusty lavender pebbles.

Stoneware. Fully functional.

Wheel thrown. Slip and glaze application.

5” h x 4” w

…

Sometimes less is more. This is a nice example of where doing a little can still yield a lot. Create a humble shape. Add a spray of butter yellow slip and limited swipes of yellow, teadust, and white glaze and then leave it alone. The lavender pebble crust is the result of the salt and soda wooden planks introduced into the chamber in the final stages of the 30+ hour firing.

One of a kind.
